I only saw r23 because of the pcsx rearmed emulator GitHub readme lol. I tried to download that ps1 sound above but theres no file in the rar. The thing is, eggs is not always using off the shelf cores (at leas I think this is the case for PCSX) but is already tweaking and removing unnecessary features to improve performance and compiling his own so you may find the latest available core actually performs worse on the (relatively low powered) Miyoo Mini. I just replaced my start up sound with htcs startup sound. retroarch\cores\ folder I would suggest to first rename your existing core to 'pcsx_rearmed_libretro.so.OLD' so that you can easily revert back. You could try testing one of the nightly's (by definition the very latest core release) from: ĭownload the pcsx_rearmed_libretro.so and replace the one in your RetroArch\. You are receiving this because you authored the thread.Message ID: honestly don't think eggs will be up for the extra effort to try to resolve one specific game issue, he already gives up a lot of his spare time for Onion. Reply to this email directly, view it on GitHub, or unsubscribe. With each Onion release eggs is typically providing a new RA build with the very latest compiled cores so the one in Onion today should already be fairly recent.įor the Onion devs, I'm not sure anything can be done to resolve this for you, as to me, it remains an issue with the core and core specific issues are a bit beyond the Onion devs remit :( I may have missed something so please feel free to correct me. The main goal of the project is to catalog and audit various kinds of software and firmware images for these systems. The fact that the earlier issues have not been closed suggests the fix (CD timings) never resolved the issue in this particular game (and at least nobody in those threads has said as much). The Old School Emulation Center (TOSEC) is a retrocomputing initiative dedicated to the cataloging and preservation of software, firmware and resources for microcomputers, minicomputers and video game consoles. There was some overlap with issue #526 which was resolved and closed but that thread discussed only other games (Xenogears, CTR, FF8, etc.). Following your link to the core issue reporting, the issues ( #102 and OnionUI/Onion#359) are both still 'open' suggesting it's not been resolved. The issue is not with retroarch as such but the specific core (PCSX Rearmed). In order to save a game, you must find one of the special signposts scattered throughout the levels it's a chore to save your game when you want to. Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return PS1 Reproduction Case. The only real drawback to playing Tomba is the limited ability to save your progress. Some areas of the game allow you to explore the foreground and the background of the level as separate areas, but don't let that fool you: Tomba is at heart a 2D game. There's a lot of moves to master, but signposts along the way teach you how to use your controller as you progress through the game. Tomba sports fresh, very cheerful graphics, decent sound and music appropriate for a platform game, and smooth controls. Not all events are so straightforward some tasks are downright cryptic, and you can have several events to clear at any one time, so playing Tomba requires some concentration. Once you've gotten rid of the fog, you have "cleared" an event, and you can move on. It's up to you to find out how to complete this task it takes a bit of exploration to figure this puzzle out. For instance, near the beginning of the game, you learn that you must clear some fog in order to move forward. There are numerous "events" Tomba must complete in order to advance through the game.
